For Your Love- The Plot

The plot
For my music video I wanted the main priority for the film to be visually aesthetic and beautiful. The story behind my music video is simple. I want to combine and contrast the beauty of nature and people. My music video will document the journey of a girl through an abandoned secret garden.

The music to my video is all about dedicating your life to someone who you love. I want my music video to be in the point of view of the singer, who is singing about the girl they love. I want to capture the beauty and purity of my actor and make the audience feel the sense of love that the song conveys.
As the music video goes on I want the girl to become more personal with the camera. At first the images of the girl will be from mid/long shots, and eventually will become close and extreme close up shots, to show the girl becoming more comfortable with the person (camera) they are with. This will hopefully give a sense of falling in love, and will show the emotional journey the couple are going through and how the girl is stuck in an emotional battle whilst the man is asking for her back.

The performance elements
When the artist is on camera, I want to include lots of direct modes of address and emotion in his face. I want my actor to look incredibly passionate and slightly desperate when singing. The use of props such as a keyboard could be aesthetic, or even the use of fairy lights to create a glowing mood could be powerful. I will shoot the artist from three different angle, face one and both sides.

Genre
As for the genre of my song, it is clearly acoustic/romantic, so therefore those feelings have to be shown in the video. I will do this through lighting, subtle filters and acting.

Feedback
After presenting my plot idea to my class, I was very pleased to hear that they all were supportive of my idea. It was said that my concept was simplistic however, if done correctly, would be visually enticing. I look forward to filming and starting to create my music video.
